Horse Anatomy in 3D: Skeleton, Organs and Hooves

Horses are built for speed and stamina, with long legs, a huge heart and a gut made for grass. In the 3D Animal Anatomy simulator you can turn a horse around, look inside at its organs and see the skeleton that carries it at a gallop.

The horse skeleton

Each horse leg ends in a single toe, the hoof. What looks like a backwards knee on the back leg is actually its ankle, and a locking system in the legs lets a horse doze while standing up.
